  • Manage the credit risk profile of the institution in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Develop and maintain robust credit risk assessment methods and policies.
  • Monitor the credit portfolio, identifying early warning signals and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee provisioning levels in accordance with IFRS 9 and internal impairment models.
  • Support the CRO in providing independent risk opinions on credit proposals.
  • Participate in Credit Committees and ensure adherence to delegated credit authority levels.
  • Produce regular risk dashboards highlighting portfolio trends and risk appetite breaches.
  • Conduct sectoral and macroeconomic risk assessments relevant to the UAE market.
  • Collaborate with other risk departments to uphold the institution's risk governance framework.
