Description
Fletcher Piccolo Associates DMCC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This full-time position offers a monthly salary ranging from AED 12,000 to 16,000, commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will possess 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC, particularly the UAE, focusing on mechanical system design for high-rise commercial, residential, and hospitality buildings. This role is crucial for developing detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with international and local authority standards. You will be responsible for load calculations, equipment selection, preparing design documents, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and optimize designs for constructability and cost-effectiveness. - Develop detailed mechanical designs including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Perform load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.
- Prepare design drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Select and specify major mechanical equipment such as chillers, AHUs, and pumps.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
- Identify Value Engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings to ensure clash-free routing.
- Support QA/QC teams with design compliance reviews.
- Prepare BOQs, specifications, and engineering design reports.
