Description
Fletcher Piccolo Associates DMCC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Dubai. This role is crucial for developing comprehensive electrical designs for high-rise commercial, residential, mixed-use, and hospitality projects, requiring a deep understanding of LV distribution, lighting, and ELV systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in electrical design software to perform complex calculations, ensure compliance with local authority regulations such as DEWA, and coordinate effectively with architectural and mechanical teams. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the UAE, with a strong emphasis on value engineering and BIM integration. If you are a proactive engineer with 6-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the GCC, and possess a Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Electrical, we encourage you to apply and advance your career with a leading firm.
- Develop detailed electrical designs including LV distribution, lighting, and ELV systems.
- Perform critical load calculations, short-circuit studies, and cable sizing using design software.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority standards like DEWA, DCD/ADCD, and DM.
- Select and specify essential electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protection devices.
- Coordinate designs with architectural and mechanical disciplines to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and review shop drawings for conformity with design intent and authority requirements.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings to ensure clash-free routing of electrical services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, codes, and new technologies in electrical design.
