Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, situated just 2km from Dubai International Airport in the heart of old Dubai, is a modern lifestyle hotel. Overlooking Dubai Creek and surrounded by landscaped grounds, the hotel boasts 292 rooms and suites, 21 meeting rooms, four restaurants, an award-winning spa, and access to The Aviation Club sports and leisure complex. About the Job:
We're looking for someone to ensure the accuracy and validity of all invoices, allocate them appropriately, and ensure timely payments, following correct revenue cycle accounting procedures.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Receiving daily invoices from the receiving department, checking their accuracy against purchase orders and expense codes.
Accounting for all invoices daily.
Following up on supplier statements of account and reconciling payments accordingly.
Processing payments for local suppliers and attaching relevant documents and invoices for reference.
Monitoring and controlling aging, preparing and releasing lists of cheques/bank transfers.
Handling any other duties assigned by management and responding to changes in accounts payable procedures.
Answering creditor queries promptly and professionally.
Providing necessary backup to financial accounting.
Filing and organizing invoices and maintaining proper document storage.
Monitoring and controlling all cheques/bank transfers awaiting signature.
Reconciling canceled, void, and stale cheques.
About You:
Qualifications:
College degree (accounting major).
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with Sun System or similar ERP software.
