Chef de Partie

As a Chef de Partie at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, your main job is to help the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef with day-to-day operations. This includes overseeing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, and assisting with cost controls. You'll also step in for the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef when they're not available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign tasks to junior chefs and make sure they're done correctly.
• Keep good relationships with colleagues and keep them motivated.
• Stay updated on any changes in events or banquets.
• Ensure the kitchen is ready for the next shift and all necessary information is passed on.
• Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food safety protocols are followed.
• Prepare and present high-quality food.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent contamination.
• Assist with guest inquiries promptly and effectively.
• Monitor food quality and storage.
• Help control costs and meet financial targets.
• Assisted other departments as needed and maintained good teamwork.
• Assist in training staff according to company procedures.
• Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues.
• Follow all hotel security, fire, health, and safety regulations.

Experience & Education:

• 2-3 years of similar experience in a five-star hotel.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in teams.
• Able to make decisions and handle disciplinary actions.
• Good knowledge of food products and HACCP controls.
• Understanding and appreciation of cultural differences.
• Driven to achieve results and organized.
• Dedicated and loyal to the job.
