We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Steward. The Kitchen Steward will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and supporting kitchen staff in their daily operations. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Dishwashing and Sanitation:

   • Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
   • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the cleaning and sanitizing process.

2. Kitchen Maintenance:

   • Keep kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors clean and free of debris.
   • Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly.
   • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, including storage areas and walk-in refrigerators.

3. Assist Kitchen Staff:

   • Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a constant supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak operational hours.
   • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow.

4. Stock Management:

   • Assist in receiving, organizing, and rotating stock.
   • Keep track of inventory levels for cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

5. Adherence to Safety Standards:

   • Follow all safety and sanitation policies to maintain a clean and hazard-free kitchen environment.
   • Report any safety issues or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
