Latest job vacancy in dnata for the position of Equipment operator. The Airport Operations Technician is responsible for operating standard motorized and diverse technical equipment safely and efficiently to support dnata Airport Operations and meet Customers' requirements. This includes loading and unloading baggage and cargo, operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and assisting in airside operations activities. UAE Driving license - RTA # 03 (Light Manual) is mandatory.

Job Outline:

  1. Safety and Compliance:

    • Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
    • Discuss safety concerns openly and report them to the supervisor.
    • Follow all departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out consistently and safely.
  2. Ground Support Equipment Operation:

    • Operate various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) based on assigned area and training qualifications, following operating manuals.
    • Inspect assigned GSE to ensure serviceability and suitability for use.
  3. Baggage and Cargo Handling:

    • Sort, load, and unload baggage and cargo correctly to and from systems, Unit Load Devices (ULDs), trucks, carts, and aircraft.
    • Retrieve and store unit load devices and cargo in designated areas.
    • Transfer unit load devices, baggage dollies, and urgent documents within the Cargo Terminal and Turnaround areas.
  4. Ramp Operations:

    • Load and offload dead load in accordance with the aircraft load plan, ensuring safe handling.
    • Provide marshalling and handling of dead-load to facilitate smooth aircraft turnaround.
  5. Ambulift Support:

    • Meet and escort passengers/customers requiring ambulance assistance as per service standards, coordinating with Special Handling Agents.
  6. Logistics:

    • Marshal vehicles and equipment near the aircraft and congested areas safely.
    • Arrange dollies, trollies, and ULDs in various locations to support staging, supply, or rotation as required.
  7. Support and Maintenance:

    • Prioritize equipment for servicing based on mileage and recency.
    • Report all defects to the supervisor promptly.
    • Lead the removal of defective equipment from the site.
    • Ensure all identified equipment is serviced and returned to operations as planned.
